Installation and updates
macOS: open the DMG and drag Pixseer into Applications. The current download is for Apple Silicon; an Intel Mac build is not currently listed. Available in-app updates are signature-verified before installation.
Windows: run the x64 installer. The app uses Microsoft Edge WebView2; installation may download that runtime from Microsoft if it is missing. Available in-app updates are signature-verified. Apple notarisation applies only to macOS.
Linux: install the .deb with your distribution’s package installer so dependencies are resolved. It needs GTK 3, WebKitGTK 4.1 and glibc 2.39 or newer. Ubuntu 22.04’s default glibc is too old for this build. To update, install the newer .deb from this page; the current release has no Linux in-app updater artifact.
Internet access is needed for first activation. Once activated, a network failure does not lock the app. Local AI features need their optional models installed and have their own memory and hardware requirements.
